The Covenant
The covenant with God and all that has breath
The covenant God made in Genesis is with God and All Creatures:
This is also in Hosea when God’s covenant is for all creatures, creeping things and a protection for humans from war:
God’s love for all who breath in His Creation is obvious and He does not want any killing - after all God’s original design in genesis the humans Gen 1.29 and animals Gen 1.30 ate plants.
For Christians the covenant is fulfillesby Jesus - He does not replace the Old Testament but shows people the compassionate way to God the Father though the Son.
In Matthew and Mark His new covenant is shed for the MANY.
This covenat fulfils the covenant with God and animals because the bloodshed is for many - and the care and love God wants for all who have breath is cared for in Jesus
There is no reason to assume that the “MANY” does not include at least all of those in the original covenat with God in the Old Testament.
MATTHEW
MATTHEW 36.28
“For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. “
The mis-reading of this is that it only means many humans.
This shrinking if who God’s covenant is actually for is not present in the wording of the New Testament
This covenat fulfils the covenant with God and animals because the bloodshed of Jesus is for many - and the care and love God wants for all who have breath is cared for in Jesus
Testament itself is another word for Covenant
